Carole needed to go to the hospital. Urgently. "I'm not going anywhere if I come home and don't have my family." Her family was her dog, Lola, and cat, Harvey. Fortunately, the Community Resource Paramedic knew of Beck's Place. He called and we were able to come get Lola and Harvey so Carole could go to the hospital. They remained in our care while Carole was in rehabilitation. She called us faithfully every week to check on her "babies." When it was time to come home the paramedics, the foster family, and Beck's Place witnessed one of the most joyful reunions we have ever seen. "I HAVE MY BABIES BACK. I AM SO HAPPY." And so are we. Removing pet related barriers to human health, safety, and security saves lives and when we combine time, strengths, talents, and resources we are #bettertogether.
